O Lord, my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me and deliver me..
On one fearful day, the world was dark. Screams tore through the air as cities burned, lands were shaken, and lives were destroyed. The darkness lasted for seven days and seven nights, leaving the wolves of the world huddled in their pack dens, staring wild eyed at the darkness that not even their eyes could see through. Once the light returned, the world had changed. Lands had shifted, cities had crumbled, and the humans were gone. The continents had shifted and moved firecefully, forming one large continent, joined by land bridges, and several large islands. For once, in the time that humans ruled the lands, it was silent. Everything changed after that. Dogs turned wild and fierce, horses raced across the lands, the buffalo returned, as well as all of the endangered beasts, and wolves regined in their forests.
All was good, if only for a little while.
Our story focuses on a northern land, where once Canada was, not entirely ripped from it original continent but still connected by a thin land bridge. Half of the land of forest, the other half grassland. A jagged canyon was etched in one edge of the connected island, creating a perfect habitat for the wolves that lived here. They were peaceful, in the beginning. Each held their own land and hunted their own territory. But some of the packs became greedy and began hunting on the other packs' lands. They didn't stand for it. Soon, a war erupted, causing many wolves to be slaughtered and diminishing their numbers greatly. The once proud nation of wolves was turned into a few tiny packs. But those packs were the future of this land, of thier ways of life.
They small packs formed their territories again and the boundries between them, this time keeping a closer watch on their lands and the rival packs. At one time, there was peace but not anymore. Yet, one thing still lingered in their minds: The God and his three Daughters that ruled the lands for him. Someday, all those with evil in their hearts will have to face them but what will they say?
May there be hope, for you pitiful souls.
But the Lord shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.
